Third Gen/3rd Gen Camaro Single DIN + Half DIN Stereo Adapter

Description

This is an adapter for third gen Camaro/Firebird stereo consoles. It has one Single DIN port for the main stereo unit, and additional 1/2 DIN space for auxiliary switches. Plastic is ABS, black.

The factory surround bezel should continue to fit when components are installed. Facing surface is textured. Bracket bolt pattern fits third gen Camaro and Firebird stereo consoles. Please be sure of your measurements. The single DIN port is sized for stereos with an outer cage or sleeve. If your component does not have a sleeve, you may need to shim the side rails with a washer or two to help take up the gap.

Spacer Included

Some single DIN stereos are too deep to fit (the Alpine in the pictures is an example). To address this a three sided “spacer” about 5/8 inch tall, is included. This causes the component to stand a little proud while clearing the stuff behind the console (usually the passenger heater duct gets in the way). The spacer is design to fit/match the margin face between the single and half din openings. Use super glue or or medium black ABS cement.

MODIFICATIONS:

This is a 3D printed component. It is NOT solid plastic. Attempts to cut/modify may damage beyond repair. If you must modify, use the sharpest blades/bits possible. A Dremel tool with a cut off wheel is best for slightly grinding away edges. Note: units cut, glued or drilled cannot be returned. Please test fit before making any permanent modifications!
