Third Gen/3rd Gen Camaro “CAMARO” Single DIN Stereo Console Adapter

This is a stereo adapter for third gen Camaro center consoles. On the top is “CAMARO” in plastic inlay. Plastic inlay is backlit with a 12V LED strip in the color of your choice. On the bottom is one single DIN port to mount your aftermarket stereo head unit.

LED strip power lead includes a quick disconnect plug for easy wiring/installation

Optional LED remote control can be wired inline and control brightness and add animated effects (blink, fade, etc.)

Some head units are a bit too deep to mount flush with the front of the frame. To address this a “U” shaped trim spacer is included to insert between the head unit and front face of the adapter to add extra space behind the console.

Customer must supply an inline fuse and 12v power source (tapping the factory stereo 12v power lead is easiest).

Description

This is a stereo adapter for third gen Camaro center consoles. On the top is “CAMARO” in plastic inlay. Plastic inlay is backlit with a 12V LED strip in the color of your choice. On the bottom is one single DIN port to mount your aftermarket stereo head unit.

  • DIN Adapter is ABS/ASA plastic, black.
  • Factory surround bezel will continue to fit

The sides of the frame are slotted for screws to secure your main head unit. The single DIN port is sized for stereos with an outer cage or sleeve. If your component does not have a sleeve, you may need to shim the side rails with a washer or two to help take up the gap.

The LED Strip includes a short “pigtail” with quick release plug for the 12v power leads. It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide necessary fused connection.

This is a 3D printed component. It is NOT solid plastic. Attempts to cut/modify may damage beyond repair. If you must modify, use the sharpest blades/bits possible. A Dremel tool with a cut off wheel is best for slightly grinding away edges. Note: units cut, glued or drilled cannot be returned. Please test fit before making any permanent modifications!
